Cobb Professional Fire Fighters Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that exists to ensure a positive charitable impact for Cobb County first responders and the community they serve. The foundation is committed to providing opportunities for positive impact through health, safety, equipment, and training.
Foundation Pillars
Health
IAFF Center of Excellence, peer support initiatives, health and wellbeing to provide the most effective responding firefighters to the community.
Equipment
Needed equipment to assist with the performance of duties to protect and benefit the community stakeholders.
Training
Providing avenues for training opportunities to members, ultimately delivering the greatest level of performance to citizens within the county.
Safety
Identifying opportunities and programs to ensure the well-being and safety of firefighters.
Rapid Intervention Project
The Rapid Intervention Project is Cobb Professional Fire Fighters Foundation’s commitment to provide an immediate response for mental health, substance abuse, and emotional needs for the members of Local 2563. The Rapid Intervention Project utilizes relationships in the community, businesses, and other members to ensure that firefighters can get immediate help in times of crisis. This includes:
-Travel and ongoing assistance for those in need in partnership with the IAFF Center of Excellence.
-Identifying key medical and support services for immediate impact.
-Assistance to family members and loved ones.
-Effective communication with department and county leadership.
-Advocacy for positive growth and continued support of mental, emotional, and physical health
and wellness.
